Janet Getto is a business consultant whose current focus is integrating creativity and innovation into organizations. Janet has over 18 years of experience helping organizations achieve their goals by facilitating teams to solve important problems and teaching skills that tap into the creative thinking skills of people. Janet works closely with her clients to create and launch strategic plans and find emerging opportunities for growth. She helps organizations get major projects back on track and improve the ongoing performance of teams. Janet is relied upon as a facilitator, trainer and coach for executives, teams and employees at all levels. Janet uses a proven, research-based approach as her underlying process when helping clients solve problems. This approach helps clearly define and understand complex problems, create innovative solutions and take them to action.
Clients include Microsoft, Pfizer, Inc., Wells Fargo Bank, United Health Group, Woodstream Corporation, Sisters of St. Benedict, to name a few.
Janet has also taught within the Penn State University Project Management Certificate program, Ball State University Entrepreneurship program and Harrisburg Community College management program. She has been a guest speaker at many conferences and symposiums, including the International Association of Facilitators.
Previously, Janet held various management positions within Frito Lay, Inc.
While at Frito Lay, Janet was introduced to the SIMPLEX System, becoming certified to teach and implement it throughout the organization. While there, Janet helped apply Simplex to a successful productivity improvement program. This program has been credited with generating over $500 million in cost savings for Frito-Lay over a four year period.
Additionally, Janet's consulting work has led her to apply her expertise with a variety of organizations from technology, manufacturing, distribution, service and not-for-profit.
Janet's experience is complimented by a Master of Science in Industrial Relations that emphasized organizational development and industrial engineering. She lives near Pittsburgh, PA and works with clients throughout North America.
