Dr. Min Basadur in Singapore March 2nd to March 5th, 2005

Dr. Min Basadur will be in Singapore from March 2nd to March 4th to speak with local business leaders in a public session and to teach New Product Management: Managing the Product Innovation Process as part of Helsinki School of Economics' international MBA program. The course is designed to provide students with the understanding of new product and technology innovation as an inclusive strategic process, and to learn leadership skills in managing this process from generation and conceptualization (the fuzzy front end) through to successful commercialization (optimization and implementation).

The course will cover how effective organizations strive not only for mastery of routine but also for mastery of deliberate disruption of routine. This is achieved by institutionalizing the continuous generation and conceptualziation of new problems and opportunities and the optimization and implementation of successful new solutions and ideas in the form of new products, technologies and procedures.
